Impact of Transport Channel Scheme Adoption on a Multi-service 3.5g Mobile Network

چکیده

In this paper a study on different transport channel scheme adoption is presented, available for 3G and 3.5G technologies, and its impact on a multi-service 3.5G mobile network in the presence of heterogeneous traffic with real time (RT) and non-real time (NRT) patterns. There are two fundamental aspects considered in this study, quality of service (QoS) and radio resource management (RRM) in order to accomplish service requirements, an efficient use of radio spectrum and system capacity maximization. The results show that the option for 3.5G (HSDPA) transport channels adoption instead of other resources specified by 3GPP for 3G (Release 99) maximize the efficiency of available radio resources.
